Formatting Changes and
Style Sheet Generator
We have developed an exciting tool for
readers of our e-books to further enhance your experience reading our e-books.
With this tool you will be able to change the text size, color, and spacing of
all our e-books.
Both Window computers and Mac computers will
now download the same file for each book. When you open the file you must
direct your computer to where the file will be saved.
We had to recode all of our books all our
e-books in order to make them compatible with the Style sheet Generator. When
you download our books you will now get two copies of each book. One copy is
essentially the same as the previous copy and it will appear in the folder as
<MyBook.html>. The second copy will appear as <MyBookXHTML.html>. When you
click on this second copy it will be displayed with minimal formatting in
Internet Explorer. You must obtain the formatting from the Accessible Book
Collection Style Sheet Generator.

Problems and other musings
The most significant problem we've currently
uncovered with the Style Sheet Generator is the way it downloads the style sheet
onto a computer. On some computers it may download and open to Notepad and on
other computers it may appear on the browser or Frontpage. It doesn't really
matter. What matters is that you save it with the file extension <.css>.
On some Windows' computers you may get a dialogue box asking what program you
wish to open the file with. Chose Notepad.
Cast eReader will display our e-books with
the values you assign in the Style Sheet Generator. It has not been tested in
other programs. But if you cut and paste text you will lose the formatting
values you applied with the Style Sheet Generator.
We have not tested the Style Sheet Generator
with Safari for MacOS 10.
